First it was 'Youth With Youth', a single that we liked despite not reaching the height of some bombings as Metric 'Help I'm Alive' or 'Stadium Love'. Now, barely a month later, we got our hands a new single titled 'Speed The Collapse' which takes us a little more the feeling that envelops the successor album "Fantasies". Enjoy it in its entirety at the end of that entry.
An electric halo. Haines's voice flying over lush landscapes, and a rhythm section that recalls at least from the distance to some of the most intensely dreamy Radiohead. These three are the points that we highlight in a song like 'Speed The Collapse' in which is shown, for the second time that Metric has chosen a more direct rocosamente that we enjoy in various parts of "Fantasies". Anyone run clear and beautiful pop of yesteryear has given prominence to a DNA version of Metric's innate melodic line network with a dense and thick.
The more defined muscle is what is characterized by Metric listened to in recent weeks. Now I have to see if the rest of the album sound the same. Will this power a mirage or actually end up being the tonic that will set the tone for the near future for the Canadian band?. We shall see)
